Dr. Mortada believes in caring for and treating the whole person not just their disease. By empowering and educating patients, they become an essential part of the healthcare team optimizing the opportunity for a successful outcome. Patient safety is our utmost priority. Endocrine is a complex specialty that is ever evolving. By partnering with the patient and other medical specialists when needed, a better outcome usually is achieved.
Education
Mimi Tran, DNP, APRN, FNP
Mimi Tran, DNP, APRN, FNP is a board-certified nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was born and raised here in Wichita, KS. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University in 2014 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wichita State University in 2021.
Mimi is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
She enjoys treating diabetes, thyroid disease, other endocrine disorders, and helping people achieve their goal to live a healthier life through diet and exercise. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband.
Ashley Trood, PA-C
Ashley Trood, PA-C completed undergraduate studies at Kansas State University. She graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science degree.
She worked in orthopaedics, women's health, and for the YMCAs of Wichita before returning to school for her master's.
She attended Wichita State University and graduated in 2022 with her Master of Physician Assistant degree.
Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, and being outdoors.
